A wearable device bridging the gap between music and athletic performance
We developed RITMO for the SCAD StartUp competition, a design competition started by SCAD Alum Andrew Siebert, a staff product designer at Meta. This year's theme was innovating physical tech for the future, and we were assigned three categories: home, automotive, or wearable technology.

We created RITMO to bridge the gap between music and pace-training sports. We found endless research that proved the neurological bridge between music and a pacer for athletes. Although other music-based pace training solutions exist, no wearable device combines the dynamic nature of music-assisting workouts. RITMO allows athletes to focus on their workouts instead of on a screen: too many athletic devices encourage athletes to constantly look down, whereas RITMO creates an inherent response when pace-training, which makes training more effortless, more impactful, and overall, more enjoyable. You can use your playlist or choose from RITMO's existing workouts, and find your Rhythm with RITMO.
