Mixing fine art and future-forward nostalgic fashion
SCAD ADBR 205 work, reverse engineering an advertisement and creating a creative direction brief from those findings. I chose J.Crew's Josef Albers' 2024 Fall campaign.

This campaign thrived by merging contemporary aesthetics with an art historical lens, drawing from Josef Albers’ color theory to elevate sweaters into artistic explorations of color interaction.

Stacked compositions echoed Albers’ work, while a model-free approach emphasized form and color. Clever color names added a curated touch, and the bold logo reinforced brand presence. Muted backgrounds made hues pop, and minimalist copy created a gallery-like feel.

By blending fashion with fine art, the campaign redefined how consumers engage with everyday objects.
